Wow!!

Wow I have been overwhelmed by the number of people who read my last blog post http://poohbear71.blogspot.co.uk/2015/01/why-should-i.html and thank you to those who have commented by email, facebook and on the blog, its great to get feedback.

I have had a rubbish few days with Emily off school at the end of last week and me now fighting the same bug.  I literally couldn't do anything yesterday, was either in bed or laid on sofa watching Emily play.  I am up and about today, but struggling so don't want to push myself too much.  I do have some issues to blog about, but it will have to wait for a bit of my strength to return.

I would like to share a few things that I have made recently.

I think this one looks like a popcorn bracelet.

My take on Beads direct neon snowflake bracelet

The photos don't really do them justice, especially the orange one which is made with Swarovski crystals my version of Beads Direct feline bracelet.  It was not very ME friendly to make as I found cutting and bending the wire hard work and fiddly, but it is very pretty and my favourite colour.

I have also done some things with Emily
Its Elsa, Anna and Olaf from Frozen

Well that's my energy gone for today.  The boiler broke down this morning and I thought I was going to have to wait all day for the repair, but thankfully they arrived before 10am and I now have heating again and don't need to sit waiting so off to lie down and read some more of my book Leaving Time by Jodi Picoult, its getting near the end now where all will be revealed I hope, its one of those keep you guessing, twist and turn books.

Baby Card, Christmas and Snow

I made this simple pattern for a friend who became a grandma just before Christmas

Sorry about the photo quality.

Christmas was exhausting as expected and I am now home and feeling rotten and not able to do things with Emily which is disappointing :-(

Here are a few pictures from our Christmas, we were in Sheffield where as you may have seen on the news they had bad snow, depends what you mean by bad, but there was 4 to 6 inches, the kids loved it and it was very pretty. There is nothing in Leeds.

Snow Therapy

I haven't been able to rest properly due to pain, anxiety and palpitations today and although I am exhausted it makes me restless, but not able to do much.

Looking for something easy going I ended up looking at Frozen fabric.  Anyone who has a little girl will know that Frozen is THE thing this year.  We have just booked tickets for Disney on Ice in Leeds in May 2015, with a Frozen theme, even though it's 6 months away it's nearly sold out and we struggled to find 3 seats together.  Its not cheap and certainly not something you see every year.  We have been before to Sheffield, once for Rob's grandma's 80th birthday, 11 years ago and again a few years ago to take Emily for a Christmas treat.

Disney on Ice 2010

Disney on Ice 2003

Sad to realise that Friday would have been Rob's Grandma's 91st birthday and it's only a year since we celebrated her 90th with her, but she sadly passed away in July.  To many anniversaries this week, with my Grandma's birthday at the weekend which would have been her 99th!  If you read my previous post you will also know I spent yesterday at garden of remembrance to put my Mama's (other grandma's) ashes with her husband on their 75th wedding anniversary. There is currently a rainbow outside a theme we had at the funerals.  Emily and I love rainbows, although she tells me there is not pot of gold as you never find the end of the rainbow, partly thanks to her Dad for shattering her illusions by telling her the truth about rainbows, the fantasy is much better!

Anyway back to what I was saying I found lots of Frozen themed fabric.

If only time energy and money were no object.

Frozen

Anyone who has or knows a little girl will know that Frozen is the current must have.

We did some of these activites the other day.  The Elsa and Anna dolls are good but quite fiddly, not something a child could do alone.

Saw these great knitted Elsa and Anna and wondering if I will have time to give them a try for Christmas?!  Well there is a Christmas every year, but not sure how long the trend will last!!

So many ideas, so little time and energy :-(
